There's word from researchers that state Christopher Columbus may have brought the bacterium that causes syphilis to Europe. We are not sure of how accurate they are but it is sure is an interesting subject which we are not surprised if it is true. Researchers affiliated with Emory University have published the most comprehensive study to date on the controversial 'Columbian' theory of syphilis and have put to rest many lingering doubts on the subject.
