A pro gay black pastor is now feeling the sting of standing up for same sex equality from his own members. Rev. Oliver White voted in favor of the United Church of Christ and their endorsement of same-sex marriage in 2005. Unfortunately, 72 percent of his flock, which happens to be predominantly black at Grace Community United Church in St. Paul couldn’t stand with him.
