Though many faithful gun owners are already opposing this, the President is running a new campaign to put a dent in gun violence. On Tuesday, The White House began to take steps toward “actively supporting” a proposal to reinstate the national ban on assault weapons, report says. President Obama’s spokesman said the President wants to also support closing the loophole that allows sales of firearms at gunshows without background checks.
