Russell Armstrong reported requested to take the drug Xanax for depression before he committed suicide. He was staying with his friend while he and his wife was in the process of getting a divorce. He was worried about what would be said on the show, regarding his financial struggles and his bi-sexual lifestyle he did not want to disclose.
