A beloved minister, Desmond Jones was murdered Saturday in northwest Harris County around 1:30am at the Shadow Ridge Apartments in the 12200 block of Old Walters Road. The victim was 21-year-old Desmond Jones who ministered and played music at several local churches. He was well known in the Houston church community.

The wife of a carjacking victim, Vandaleira Jones is asking the men who killed her husband to turn themselves in. Desmond Jones, 21, was returning to his home at the Shadow Ridge apartments after a fast food run early Saturday morning when two suspects shot him and stole his car. The car was a silver 2012 Chrysler 300 rental car, license plate number DS1L815.
